American wedding

It seems that this summer is in the name of weddings. This one was the first and there are still 2 more to come. I guess I don't have to tell you that I am struggling with wedding dress, as I can't really find anything which would be THE dress. Oh well, shall see.
But I'd like to tell you something about this wedding. It was the first time I've seen the couple, probably also the last time, yes I got there completely by accident and it felt like being in a movie.
Just all American wedding with everything what belongs to it! Or better said - everything I have seen in american movies.
So yeah, no ceremony, no congratulations, no nothing! They said "i do" and the blast and fun begun! Party, dancing and a lil bit eating - hamburgers, what else?
The funniest part for me was that all brides maids were dressed in purple dress and all grooms men were wearing purple sneakers, something like all stars or so. I wish I could have taken picture of that, but as you know I didn't know anybody there so I didn't wanna make a bigger fuss...
Anyway, the wedding is over, I wish the happy couple all the best and I am looking forward to the next wedding in August! x

As I am almost falling asleep after a very exhausting day full of shopping and sunshine in California, I am sending you just the view over the city of angels, city where all dreams come true.
We snapped those pics in Getty Center, which was just overwhelming, probably as big as Louvre in Paris - or maybe not, but definitely big enough not to see the whole museum.

Nakolko uz skoro zaspavam nad klavesnicou po dlhom a narocnom dni plnom nakupovania a kalifornskeho slniecka, tak Vam tu teraz posielam len pohlad nad mestom anjelov, kde sa plnia sny.
Tieto foty su nafotene z Gettyho Centra, ktore je jednoducho ohromne, mozno tak velke ako Louvre v Parizi, alebo mozno nie, v kazdom pripade dost velke na to, aby sme si ho cele nestihli pozriet v jeden den.

On the beach

I accidentally fell into the ocean and got soaked - completely! 

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Venice Beach! The place where being crazy and silly means to behave just absolutely normal. The place where coolitude and crazyness meet hand in hand. Oh yeah baby, that's Venice.
You may know this city part as the headquarter of beat generation. Or for more pop culture addicts - the place where C.J. Parker and Mitch Buchannon were running to the ocean to rescue all those people who were drowning and screaming! Oh the sweet times. Actually when I was googling how to write Buchannon and I've discovered that they were shooting Baywatch till 2001 - wow!!! The whole 12 years on TV - I didn't have a clue that it was that long. Basically I stopped watching it when I got to the primary school, haha.
Anyway, the place has the atmosphere with the skateboarders, lifeguards and everything you can imagine - we are in California, right? So don't hesitate to put on your bikinis and come to Venice - everyone is welcomed! x

Damy a pani, vitam Vas vo Venice Beach! Miesto kde sialenstvo a vystrelky su na dennom poriadku a nikto tu nevyzera normalne. Toto miesto ma svoje caro, ako by som to nazvala "coolitude". Oh yeah baby, toto je Venice.
Mozno ho spoznavate ako hlavne sidlo beatnikov. Alebo pre tych trochu viac poznacenych touto pop generaciou, tak urcite spoznate plaze po ktorych behala C.J. Parker a Mitch Buchannon a zachranovali topiacich sa z vody. Oh ano, natacal sa tu aj Baywatch. Pri tom ako som si googlila ako sa vlastne pise Buchannon, tak som objavila, ze Baywatch bol v telke celych 12 rokov, az do roku 2001 - wow! Odkedy som nastupila na zakladnu skolu, vobec som ho neregistrovala - haha.
V kazdom pripade, ma to tu vsetko svoju atmosferu - vsetci ti skateboardisti, zachranari, plavcici a vsetci cudni a divni ludia - ale toto je California predsa, ze? Takze bez obav, nahodte na seba plavky a nechajte sa pohltit davom! Kazdy je vitany! x

Have you seen Dr.Strangelove? I've just remembered this scene from the plane where they go through their survival kit and in the end realize that the kit is good enough for Vegas instead of bombing Russia.

There you go:

"Survival kit contents check. In them you'll find:

- One forty-five caliber automatic  

- Two boxes of ammunition 

- Four days' concentrated emergency rations 

- One drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills
