Directly or indirectly I've realized that this week is about to be dedicated to love. Exactly as the last one was dedicated to the Netherlands, this one is about love. And stay tuned for the my Friday highlight interview with one of my friends who really inspires me when it comes to this :)
Anyway, I've just found out that I still haven't posted any pictures from the wedding, my friends and I attended 2 weeks ago. So here they are, 'cos what's bigger and better to celebrate love if not the wedding itself?

Ci uz priamo alebo nepriamo, nejako sme sa tento tyzden dostali k teme laska. A prave tak ako som minuly tyzden venovala Holandsku, tak tento venujem prave laske. Hlavne sa mate na co tesit, co sa tyka mojeho piatkoveho rozhovoru. Chystam sa Vam predstavit kamaratku, ktora ma specialne v tejto oblasti velmi inspiruje :)
V kazdom pripade, len dnes som si uvedomila, ze som tu vlastne vobec nedala fotky zo svadby, na ktoru sme s mojimi kamaratkami boli pozvane pred dvomi tyzdnami. A kedze je temou dnesneho tyzdna uz tolkokrat spominana laska, ako je mozne ju oslavit lepsie ak nie samotnou svadbou?

the lucky one

Ever since last week I've started to occupy my thought with the topic: luck. Of course, nothing is accident. I was in movies during the "ladies night" and there, as you surely know, is a raffle in the end of the movie. And as I was falling asleep during the whole movie, suddenly I woke up when they announced that the seat with my number wins the first prize! What was the prize is not that important here. Ok, it is! Well, even the picture is about it. So let's say that my perfume collection got bigger :)  BUT... the whole life I was living in a belief that I have luck in love and not in game (well, this is a pure word by word translation from Slovak - sorry). And now this?! I've never ever won anything in a lucky-dip during my high school events. Not even a chocolate egg! And you know, my classmates were coming home with hamsters and so... (ok, I don't know what would my mom told me if I came home with a hamster. Probably we both would be thrown out of flat - but still!).  On the other hand, I can't really say that I was that lucky in love. But I always thought that it's just supposed to come. But what to do now? Finally I am in the age when it all would be worth it and I won the ionic hair brush?!  As my mom's colleague told me, tomorrow is a whole different day. Uz od minuleho tyzdna som sa zacala zaoberat temou stastie. Samozrejme nie nahodne. Bola som v kine na "damskej jazde", a tam je stale na konci filmu tombola. A aj napriek tomu, ze som cely film umierala od nudy, tak ked vyhlasili, ze prvu cenu ziskava moje sedadlo, hned som sa prebrala! To co bolo prvou cenou nie je az tak podstatne. Teda, samozrejme ze je. Ved o tom je aj fotka, ktoru som tu uverejnila. Povedzme, ze moja kolekcia vonaviek sa opat raz rozrastla :)  ALE... cely zivot zijem v presvedceni, ze "nestastie v hre a stastie v laske", a teraz toto? V zivote som v tombole na skolskej diskoteke nevyhrala ani kinderko! A to moji spoluziaci vo velkom vyhravali morske prasiatka a podobne blbosti (uprimne neviem si ani predstavit, co by povedala moja mamina, keby som sa domov privliekla s morskym prasiatkom! Asi by sme mali obaja vyhadzov!). Ale aj tak!

So this is a very random post, which I didn't even plan half an hour ago. Just wanted to show you my new babies! I hope that thanks to them I'll be able to finish university and look extra smart and not only extra geeky.  What do you think?  Have a happy weekend everyone!
Takze toto je velmi nahodna posta, ktoru som ani neplanovala tak pred pol hodinou, ale slovo dalo slovo a ja som sa rozhodla, ze Vam konecne ukazem novy prirastok to rodiny, a sice moje nove okuliare.

Meet my friends: Kitty

Ladies and gentlemen, please, meet Kitty. She is one of my closest, if not the closest, friend. Dutch born, student of dentistry but most of all the queen of vintage and my eternal inspiration when it comes to style, decor and antique! I've been mentioning her name a lot last days, partly due to my recent visit in Amsterdam and partly due to the general fact of the friendship itself. So here is a little interview I've prepared for you. Hope you'll like it and get inspired as well :)
What do you usually have for breakfast? (this is just a warm up question for everyone ;-)) Normal? Or with you? :D I always take wholewheat bread, sometimes I toast it. Then what I really love are sprinkles - "hagelslag" or "flokken" or mix - bicolore :) But sometimes I also like the colored ones, the sugary ones, fruchthagels. Then I also like "muisjes" those made from anis. You have it in pink and white or blue and white, so when babies are born, when it's a girls it's pink and for boy blue. And normally you eat it on "schron" (correct my spelling!!!) it's little bit of brown and crunchy. Then what else? I really like cappuccino with "mountains". The mountains are fluffy and then under it's milky coffee. And sometimes I put vanilla in it. Never sugar, because you know I am dentist!
You know that I am in love with your room. What inspires you when collecting all the antique? Well Lenka, let me tell you about it! Actually my father designed my room. (I didn't know that!!!) He has a lot of stuff, so he tells me: you can take this or this... And I am like "okeeee, give it to meee". But for the paintings I like pictures of Amsterdam. I collect them. Really old ones. And also I have dentistry things, did you see the tools on the picture? And also my grandmother contributed with her antique staff. My "Tiffany lamp". Then she also wanted to give me a Chesterfield couch, but it's brown, so my brother took it! And things I like the most about my antiques is when you go upstairs there's this big closet. I really like it!

Today I've decided to make a sum up of all the pictures I collected during my stay in the Netherlands last week. And for tomorrow I've prepared a high light of the week. As from this week I've decided to introduce you each Friday a friend of mine who inspires me and about who I'm talking here, so you'll get a better perception who people in my life are. So get excited and guess who's the first person gonna be!

Dnes som sa rozhodla urobit suhrn obrazkov, ktore som nafotila pocas pobytu v Holandsku. A na zajtra mam uz pre Vas pripraveny "high light" tyzdna! A sice od tohto tyzdna som sa rozhodla, ze Vam kazdy piatok predstavim cloveka, ktory ma inspiruje a o ktorom sa tu na blogu zmienujem, takze budete mat lepsiu predstavu o tom, o kom hovorim a kto ludia v mojom zivote su. Takze dufam, ze sa uz vsetci tesite a mozete uzatvarat stavky, kto bude prvy!

Introducing: Blond Amsterdam

Remember when I was talking about my obsession with Blond Amsterdam here? So guess what? Dreams coming true and for the first time in my life I made it to the flag store, which was just beyond paradise for girls all age!

I think I don't have to tell you that it was Kitty who introduced me to this heaven on earth. And always when we were having breakfast we had it from the fancy mugs from Blond - love it!

What I've bought in the store will remain secret for now. I'll post it as soon as I'll style my breakfast at least as fancy as we had with Kitty.

Pamatate si, ako som Vam tu uz hovorila o svojej zavislosti na Blond Amsterdam? Takze hadajte co? Sny sa konecne stali skutocnostou a ja som sa po prvykrat ocitla v ich kmenovom obchode, co bolo nieco ako raj pre dievcata kazdeho veku (vazne!!!)!

Myslim, ze Vam nemusim hovorit, ze k tejto zavislosti alebo skor zalube ma priviedla opat raz Kitty. A stale ked sme mali spolu ranajky v Amsterdame, tak sme pili cappuccino z tychto hrncekov.

To, co som si kupila v obchode ja, zostane na teraz tajomstvom. Ale urcite Vam o tom napisem hned ako si najstylujem ranajky minimalne do takej formy, ako sme ich mavali s Kitty.

I'm a rockstar!

As you can see, I've decided to dedicate this week to the Netherlands! You've already seen snaps of Amsterdam, Utrecht and now it's time for Volendam! Which is the most typical Dutch town ever, right?
So what we've done there? Besides eating haring and drinking Heineken, we had probably the best night ever. No kidding! Accidentally we found ourselves in the middle of carnival, which is the biggest fest in the town, which is highly attended by all the famous Dutch celebrities, such as footballers, their coaches, singers and many more. I hope I don't have to publicly confess that I didn't know any of them! But Kitty she knew them all and we had the most fun out of it, taking pictures with Jan Smit and other drunk singers, who were claiming to us that they were ROCKSTARS!!! 


Ako ste si mohli vsimnut, rozhodla som sa venovat tento tyzden Holandsku! Mohli ste si uz prehliadnut nejake tie snimky z Amsterdamu, Utrechtu a teraz prisiel rad na Volendam! Co je asi najtypickejsie holandske mestecko.

about the "french-frierer"

Last Thursday, Kitty and I spent in Utrecht. The city is little and cute, just like all Dutch cities I've seen so far (and I did a lot). We did a lot of walking until we found a cafe with chai latte and cheese cake.
Especially I enjoyed shopping in second-hand shops, which hide all the treasures, such as all the different books and tins, which I just NEEDED!!!


Minuly stvrtok sme sa s Kitty vybrali do Utrechtu. Ako kazde z holandskych mesteciek, ktore som zatial navstivila (a nebolo ich malo), je aj toto malicke a rozkosne. Kym sme nasli to spravne miesto s cheese cake-om a chai latte, tak sme den stravili viac menej chodenim po second-handoch a nakupovanim rozlicnych blbosti, ktore jednoznacne POTREBUJEM!

9 streets and 8 hours

The summer is almost over and I've decided to seize this opportunity and do my last gate away. Where else if not to Amsterdam, to visit my dear friend Kitty. So here's how I spent the day, trying to find my orientation in the city, while Kitty had to work:

everybody's changing

... and I don't know why (yeah, if only we were in one of the keane's songs). But we're in reality and need to accept that everything is changing. My classmates are getting married, people are graduating, looking for job, having business meetings. And also the cities, there are new tram stops, new street names. Oh well, I guess it all comes with September and the new beginning of school year.

This picture is on the wall where I used to walk just in June and there were tanks all over it. Look now, it's changed! Let's welcome new change as a challenge! Who's in with me?

Vsetko sa meni, ...a ja neviem preco (tak by sme to mohli nejako zakoncit, keby sme boli v pesnicke od Keane). Ale nakolko my sme v realite, musime jednoducho zmeny akceptovat. Moji spoluziaci sa zenia a vydavaju, ini statnicuju a promuju a hladaju si pracu, chodia na pracovne schodzky a nakupuju kostymceky do prace. A tak isto ako ludia, menia sa aj mesta, ulice maju nove mena, zastavky elektricky sa volaju inak... Co uz, asi je to len nejaky ten septembrovy syndrom noveho skolskeho roku.
